Sylvie Griselle

Sylvie Griselle: My training was attending lectures by watercolourist Thionvillois for two years. Thereafter I conducted workshops and internships. I participated in many exhibitions and competitions that have brought me to the days of honorable awards both in France and abroad .

From 1980 to 1985 I exhibited in several galleries (Nancy , Strasbourg , Thionville , Basel) .

My artistic activity was discontinued in the 90s for professional reasons and it was not until 2011 that I could take the brushes.

From 2012 I have participated in many events on watercolor such qu'Uckange , Namur, the Biennale de Saint Pol de Léon , Montgermont , and also the festival Gaillon I also attend the show this Confluences in Aiguillon fall.

My passion for watercolor inspired me to explore the different techniques in the landscape, animal theme , but it is especially the portrait that inspires me. I try to translate with this amazing medium of watercolor , emotions and feelings of my characters.

Gisele Hurtaud: French artist born in 1959, I live on the Atlantic coast near La Rochelle. Member of the Society of Pastellists of France, I realize portraits pastel for twenty years.

The portrait fascinates me; Translating an expression, a feeling, giving life to a
face are constantly renewed challenges. Through my delicate portraits, I try to
convey emotions, that of a look, an attitude, a moment.

The authenticity and serenity of the peoples of Asia and especially the peoples
of the Himalayas, guardians of their culture and religion, the strength that these
people exude and their inner peace affect me particularly.

I participate in many exhibitions devoted to the art of pastel. The different prizes
won and the public eye on my works encourage me to always progress.

My works appear in public and private collections in France and abroad.
I run internships where I try to share my passion. My work has been the subject of several articles in specialized magazines.
